So Friday night was beyond awesome!!! If you missed I am truly sorry. Beloved and Heirborn came out and did a concert to raise money for the new building. They where amazing! But better than that we had a great turn out of pastors in Polk County. It was great to see church’s acting like the church uniting as one. Putting all differences aside denomination, tradition, contemporary it didn’t matter only the one true thing GOD. What a night!!!!!!

I am so excited about Ladies Night Out in June!!! It is a blessing to have such a awesome Women’s team. This is such a fun event for me because back when I was struggling in my walk. My mom could still talk me into going to First Baptist Woodstock Church Ladies Night Out. During those years that was the only thing that spoke into my life. So please invite the unchurched women that you know. Get excited about reaching the lost. You never know what can happen.
What if my mom would have stopped inviting me???
Innovate Conference May 20, 2009
Just spent the last 4 days at Jonathan Falwell’s church!!!!! The conference was great!!! If you need a good conference to go to for your church this is it. It’s not all about the next program it deals with your heart. Not that programs are bad. Sometimes it’s just good to look at yourself and your relationship with God. Some of the speakers where Perry Noble, Francis Chan, Eric Hodges, the list goes on.
After the conference we where invited with some other church planters to have lunch with Jonathan. He got a kick out of our staff. And even promised to come when we hit 2,000. So exciting!!!

What a blessing May 4, 2009
Well most of you know we adopted a beautiful little girl named Brianna this year. Now I am able to help with another adoption! The mother of Brianna is pregnant and would like to adopt this one out too. A friend of the family will be adopting the baby his name will be Nathaniel James. They are very excited about the blessing God has sent them. Here is their story and how God gives us special blessing in his time.
For 2 years they where in the process of adopting a little girl named Sarah in China. They spent 8 months in the orphanage caring and taking care of Sarah like she was their daughter. When the tornados went through Tennesee it wiped out their house. Jim went back to try and salvage their belongings while Tiffany stayed. In that time the government told them they where unable to adopt Sarah. It was a very painful time for all of them. They arrived back in the states empty handed with no home. In the last year they have been talking to Sarah through web cam and rebuilding their life. Waiting for God’s direction. This past Saturday I had the privilege in telling them that Lacy would love for them to adopt her baby. What a blessing.
Why Women Are Scared To Get Along April 28, 2009
Well lately I have really been thinking of reasons women don’t get along. Here are a few:
1. low self-esteem: Listen everyone deals with this. You look at someone and feel there is no way they will be my friend. Maybe you are more tom-boy or girly girl and feel you can’t relate. If we all looked at it this way we will be alone for a long time. I know from personal experience this is not the way it has to be. You will be surprised in the friends you will find. I have so many friends that are so different from me and it’s ok . So don’t feel like you have to have the car, the house, the great kids and everything in between. Get free of that feeling
2. jealous: Ok big no no! Your friend is going to have other friends. We should be happy for our friends. If they have another bff get over it. The other thing that goes with this is getting mad when something good is going on in your friends life. If your life isn’t going in the direction you want it don’t take it out on them. They need your support.
3. worried they want your man: Well this is a hard one because women we have made a bad name for ourselves. If your hanging with your bff’s man more than them that’s probably not good. You know what I mean. I know that this is very common now but if you can’t trust your friend then you also don’t trust your man. So look at it really good. Find out the reason for miss trust in both.
4. hurts in the past: If we let our past lead us we won’t get anywhere. It as simple as that. Don’t let this control your happiness in life.
5. gossip: Learn to keep your mouth closed. If you have an issue go to your friend. If they are really your friend they will be able to work out whatever the problem is.
So don’t give up. You never know your best friend might be the next person you meet.
Goodyear!!! April 16, 2009
Sunday was great! Danny finally announced the new building for the church! That was the hardest thing to keep quiet. So let me tell you the whole experience.
Danny and the staff went to check out Goodyear while they where on their tour. The janitor asked Danny if we where looking at the school for the church. Danny replied yes if God wants us to have it. And the janitor replied God wants you to have it.
So a couple of days later they took Marsha with them to check it out. The same janitor was there. He asked Marsha what she thought. She said she loved it and if God wanted it then she did to. He told her God will provide and he wants you all to have it.
I figured I would share this because to me it was neat to see someone who didn’t even know us have so much faith in this whole thing.
Fastward…..
We hear about two other companies that want to bid on the school also. So we all just pray God if this is what you want let it be. Well we get to the place make the bid and wait our time. We go in and no one else shows. How awesome is that. We got the bid!!!!!!
Ok so Monday we get a call from a friend that knows one of the people who was supposed to be there Thursday. He told us that he placed a bid but felt God telling him no. So before it went in he had a employee go pick the bid up. He was glad to hear that we where the reason why he wasn’t supposed to get it. God is awesome!!!!
